Daily Telegraph and Ladbrokes

With all the activity going on in the campaign, it is sometimes fun to step back a little and take a different angle on the local action. The Conservative campaign in Wyre Forest featured on the letters pages of the Daily Telegraph on Thursday. A resident in Kidderminster's Greenhill had clearly taken the trouble to read our local election literature and felt motivated to share it with Telegraph readers.

SIR - Unless there is a divine typographical error, David Cameron need have no fears come May 6.

A leaflet from our Conservative candidate in the local elections, Chris Morrall, states: "Christ intends to work closely with Mark Garnier, the Conservative Parliamentary candidate."

Divine intervention is always welcome, but with just 13 days to go, the team is hard at work!

And the effect of the hard work can be seen with the odds being offered by Ladbrokes. Conservatives are still 4/7 favourite to win here, with independent Richard Taylor at 11/8. Labour languish at 25/1, but the Lib Dems are coming up from 50/1 to 25/1. 100/1 the rest of the field.
