All across Wyre Forest this Sunday, communities were remembering their fallen colleagues at services of remembrance. Mark Garnier went to join the British Legion in Stourport and joined the parade through the town, laying a poppy wreath on behalf of the Wyre Forest Conservative Association.
"Wyre Forest is a big place with many communities and churches, so I can't get to them all. But each year I rotate between our three towns and this year - my sixth as Wyre Forest's Conservative Parliamentary Spokesman - was the turn of Stourport.
"I am always struck at how different each town is with their Remembrance services and I am always so delighted to see so many people come out to pay their respects to our fallen service men and women. It is incredibly important to show how much we all care, especially when we are engaged in war in Afghanistan that has claimed so many lives and injuries."
