The Bewdley Rotary held its AGM at the Brasserie Restaurant in Kidderminster, with Mark Garnier as the guest speaker. About 60 people and heard Mark speak about his job as the Conservative Parliamentary Spokesman for Wyre Forest and about the importance of the work done by Members of Parliament, currently taking some flak over the expenses scandal.
Mark said of the evening: "It was a great honour to be asked to speak at the Bewdley Rotary AGM and I am very flattered to have been asked. Their work locally is very important and they have raised over £27,000 in the last year for local and international charities. Indeed, the Rotary is the biggest international charity on the planet and its work is very important in areas such as disaster relief."
