Mark Garnier MP welcomes another fall in crime locally over the last 12 months
Latest figures from the independent Office for National Statistics show that since 2010 recorded crime in West Mercia has fallen by 18%.
This trend of falling crime is supported by the independent Crime Survey of England and Wales and a fall in violent crime shown by fewer people going to hospital with injuries from violent incidents.
Mark Garnier said ‘It is great news that crime has fallen again in West Mercia. As a member of this community I am extremely grateful to all of our police officers who work very hard to protect the local area, prevent crime and who are incredibly helpful and responsive. This has been shown by the continued fall in our crime rate, since 2010, and it is down to the dedication and commitment from our local police force.’
