I have today written to the Local Government Secretary, seeking his support to stop an unwelcome development in Bewdley.
Gladmans has put in an application for 195 houses off the Lakes Road in the town that has met significant local objections. The company is seeking to use loopholes in planning law to secure a development and has now moved forward in appealing against WFDC’c as yet non determination of their application.
This is a wholly cynical application and I am afraid this is just one of two similar applications by Gladmans. I have made my view very clear in this application in the past and my view on this unwelcome approach. That is why I am writing to the Communities Secretary to ask that he helps Bewdley and wider Wyre Forest residents stop this abuse of the planning regulations for cynical gain.
