Mark Garnier MP asks schools to nominate young people for British Red Cross Award
The British Red Cross’s Humanitarian Citizen Award celebrates the extraordinary things that young people do to help their communities. It recognises achievements in first aid, volunteering, community action and fundraising.
All young people who are nominated will receive a certificate to celebrate their nomination. Their achievements will be publicised through the Red Cross networks. Nominations are open to young people who are aged 25 or under and can be completed online at www.redcross.org.uk/theaward
Mark Garnier said “It is important to encourage young people to be involved in the local community and this award recognises selfless actions and achievements that often go unsung. We have many inspirational young people here in Wyre Forest who would be deserving of this award. I urge all local schools to nominate young people or a group of young people who have made a real difference and deserve recognition.”
