Thousands of care homes across the UK will open their doors to the public on Friday 20th June
Mark Garnier MP is supporting National Care Home Open Day. Care homes across Wyre Forest are taking part and welcoming the public into their care homes. Lots of events and activities are being arranged to help to create links between care home residents and local communities.
Care homes have had a lot of negative press recently. This event is about showing that there are many successes in care homes that should be celebrated. More information about the day and events happening locally can be found at http://www.nationalcarehomeopenday.org.uk/
Mark Garnier said “National Care Home open day is a great idea. It is about opening up care homes to show some of the fantastic work care workers do. Across Wyre forest Ravenhurst Residential Care, Brook Court, Hollyfields Care Home, The Poppies Care Home and Bryden House Care Home are opening their doors to the public. I would encourage everyone to go to a participating care home on the 20th June to see the quality of care that is available locally to their loved ones.”
