Figures released today by the Office of National Statistics show that the total number of unemployed claimants in Wyre Forest constituency in February 2017 was 790. This represents a rate of 1.7% of the economically active population, with the average rate in the UK currently at 2.5%. The total number of claimants is lower than the same time in February 2016.
The rate of unemployment in Wyre Forest remains very low. Nationally, the UK unemployment rate has fallen to 4.7 per cent – the lowest level since 2005, according to the latest figures out today. There are 31.85 million people now in work, up by over 2.8 million since 2010

The Wyre Forest claimant rate has gone down from February 2016, reflecting the continuing improvement in employment rates even with seasonal adjustments.
