Mark Garnier MP Takes Action For Future Improvements
Figures released by the Office of National Statistics show the rate of unemployed claimants in Wyre Forest continues to remain lower than the national and regional average.
There were 985 unemployed claimants in Wyre Forest during April 2018, representing a rate of 2.2% of the economically active population. Bewdley has the lowest unemployment within Worcestershire.
Mark Garnier MP comment; "Whilst I am pleased that Wyre Forest unemployment remains below the national and regional average, I am worried that the recent trend is one of slow increase in the local rate. This reminds us that we must always be vigilant, and never take local good performance for granted. Today I am announcing that I will be holding the 2018 Jobs Fair on Thursday, 26th July in Kidderminster”
