Mark Garnier was a judge at the Young Enterprise Competition Wyre Forest final held at Kidderminster’s King Charles I school. The three finalists were King Charles, Wolverley High and Baxter College. All three put on excellent displays showing their successes at producing saleable goods and services and how they had managed to set up and run profitable businesses.
The award went to King Charles I for their business producing bespoke signs. Mark said of the event: “This is an absolutely terrific way for sixth formers to be able to learn the intricacies of the commercial world. I take my hat off to all concerned, who between them came up with some excellent ideas and – importantly – dealt with some issues and problems in a mature and level headed way. I am very proud to have been asked to participate in this important event.”
