The Wyre Forest Conservative Association yesterday hosted a Kemp Hospice ‘Tea @ 3’ event to raise awareness of Kemp Hospice’s important local work. Kemp Hospice launched its ‘Tea @ 3’ promotion on the 1st June with an open afternoon at Kemp Hospice.
The idea is to get groups of people to hold a tea party in order to raise awareness of Kemp Hospice and to help generate funds for this important local charity. Thursdays see up to thirty volunteers at the Wyre Forest Conservatives’ offices in Mill Street Kidderminster, preparing newsletters for distribution across the district in order to keep residents updated of local Conservatives’ work for the community.
Mark Garnier, Wyre Forest’s Conservative Parliamentary Spokesman, took advantage of the opportunity to both support Kemp and to thank local volunteers for their work. “Kemp is an incredibly important local charity and one that I am keen to support, so it seemed like a tremendous opportunity to hold a Kemp ‘Tea @ 3’.”
Said Mark. “Our local Conservative volunteers do a huge job in helping get our message out and I couldn’t think of a better way to say ‘thank you’ to them and to help Kemp at the same time.”
