Mark Garnier welcomes the news that 6 schools within Wyre Forest were successful in securing funding for specific build projects from the The Condition Improvement Fund(CIF)
CIF is only available to academies (who are not in a multiple academy group) and sixth form colleges. The priority for the fund is to address significant condition needs, keeping academy and sixth-form college buildings safe and in good working order. This includes funding projects to address health and safety issues, building compliance and poor building condition.
The 6 schools are:
- Foley Park Primary School and Nursery
- St John’s C0fE Primary School
- Birchen Coppice Academy
- St Oswald’s CofE Primary School
- Holy Trinity School
- King Charles 1 School
Mark said “This is good news for the schools. I hope it reassures the pupils, parents, teachers and all the support staff that this Government values highly the working environment for pupils and staff alike. I am aware of schools that have had problems and have been working to secure funding some of these, and other, schools. This benefits all working and studying at these schools.”
