Local MP's third jobs fair attracts over 750 jobseekers.
50 companies attended Mark Garnier's third Jobs Fair last Friday at Kidderminster Town Hall, offering a wide range of jobs. There was also advice from the local colleges on courses and several apprenticeship providers to assist people on skills training and career development.
Mark said " I am delighted that so many exhibitors were able to attend my 3rd fair last Friday. These fairs give people the opportunity to speak directly to companies, seeking advice and to be able to provide the companies with their CVs in a more personal setting. We had local companies, recruiting for expansion, and new companies moving into the district looking to recruit for a wide range of positions. That in itself is positive news for Wyre Forest.
"This is not the 'silver bullet' for those who are looking for jobs, but I think that it is important that the local MP helps widen the opportunities for local jobseekers. I am incredibly grateful for the support of those companies and organisations who came to support the event."
