Last week Wyre Forest MP Mark Garnier hosted the 4th Wyre Forest Jobs Fair for local job seekers at Kidderminster Town Hall.
There were 36 exhibitors at the fair offering a good mix of graduate opportunities, apprenticeships and general recruitment.
Jobs Fairs give job seekers the opportunity to speak directly with companies, get valuable employment advice and give their CVs to potential employers.
Mark Garnier said “I am very pleased to have organised the 4th Wyre Forest jobs fair. As an MP one of the most important jobs I have is to help constituents and a big part of that is helping them to find employment or training. Jobs Fairs help to widen the opportunities for local job seekers and enable them to seek guidance directly from employers.
“The local unemployment rate is now down to 3.8% from 4.8% in May 2010. I will continue to hold jobs fairs to support local people in finding employment and to ensure that this downward trend continues. I am incredibly grateful for the support of all of the companies and organisations that attended and supported the event.”
