Wyre Forest MP is delighted that Wyre Forest has attracted huge investment from global auto company Amtek
Amtek International will develop a manufacturing facility in Kidderminster at the former Lawrence Recycling Centre. They will invest £5 million initially creating at least 100 new highly skilled jobs in the local area.
Amtek International manufacture aluminium components for the automotive industry across the UK, Europe and Asia. Their plans will mean that Kidderminster becomes one of the largest suppliers of automotive components in Europe.
Mark Garnier MP said “This is absolutely fantastic news for Wyre Forest. Wyre Forest has secured this investment, beating strong competition from the rest of the UK, Europe and Asia. This huge investment will create more jobs for the area and be a significant boost to our economy. It will also undoubtedly mean that further investors are attracted into Wyre Forest creating even more jobs and prosperity in the area.”
