Year 6 at St. Catherine's Primary School, Kidderminster, wrote to environment minister Liz Truss about saving rainforests worldwide. As part of their project local MP Mark Garnier visited the school to answer year 6's questions.
They discussed many related issues from international action to looking after Wyre Forest. Mark then personally handed their letters to Liz Truss in London.
Mark Garnier MP said "It was great to be able to bring Year 6's very considered letters to Liz Truss. Part of my role is to ensure that views locally get heard at all levels of Government. I know Liz would like to thank them for thinking to use their research in such a way and she'll be getting back to them as soon as possible."
