Full Fibre is being rolled out across the country, replacing the copper wire infrastructure which has been used since 1911. Fibre Optics is able to carry a far greater amount of data in comparison to copper wiring, with increased usage and demand it is an essential upgrade to our communication infrastructure.
There are, though, a number of areas within Stourport which were built during a period when copper wire lines were buried directly into the ground without ducting channels. Several postcode areas, within Stourport, who currently have no telegraph poles have received communication from a third party with regards to the installation of circa 100 telegraph poles. Many of these roads have limited street furniture due to the planning design of open frontage and currently all utility lines are subterranean.
