Unemployment remains low in Wyre Forest

Figures released today by the Office of National Statistics show that the total number of unemployed claimants in Wyre Forest constituency in September 2016 was 746. This represents a rate of 1.6% of the economically active population, with the average rate in the UK currently at 2.4%.

Last week, the Boundary Commission published its proposed new parliamentary constituency boundaries. This has come as a result of a couple of things. The first being that parliament decided a few years ago that we needed to trim down the size of the chamber from 650 MPs to 600.
