Mark Garnier has welcomed the news that two schools in Wyre Forest, Lickhill Primary and Baxter College will receive funding to improve their school buildings.
With the election coming up, this will be my last MP view of this parliament. Parliament dissolves on the 30th March, so the country has no MPs until after the election! So I wanted, in my last MP View before May 7th, to reflect on the last five years.
The Worcestershire NHS Acute Trust invited Mark to the new oncology centre to plant a tree in the commemorative garden surrounding the centre on Friday, 20th March.
Once every three or four months, all Worcestershire MPs get together with the County Council and the Local Enterprise Partnership. It is a great opportunity to discuss county wide issues and to make sure the county as a whole remains strong. After all, Wyre Forest can only perform well if the whole county and, indeed, the region is doing well.
The single most important gift that can be given to any child is a good education. Indeed so important is it to our society that we spend £39 billion a year directly in schools.
