Yesterday, four leading Internet Service Providers, TalkTalk, Sky, BT and Virgin Media announced that they will work together to make it easier for families to block access to internet porn.
Stourbridge College and Kidderminster Harrier’s new Hospitality Academy restaurant, The Academy, was officially opened by Mark Garnier, MP for Wyre Forest, on Friday 30th September 2011. A special Gala Dinner was laid on to mark the restaurant’s new opening and to celebrate 125 years of football at the club.

Work and Pensions Secretary Rt Hon Iain Duncan-Smith MP was a recent visitor to Kidderminster. Coming on the invitation of local MP Mark Garnier, Iain came to visit the Family Intervention Project, based at the Birchen Coppice School.
Mark spent Monday morning helping out at the Bewdley Youth cafe. The cafe was set up to give local school kids a decent breakfast before going to school and is a popular venue for the local community. But it is facing financial problems and Mark is keen to help promote its value.

This announcement came with the news that another 30,000 homes and businesses in Worcestershire are set to benefit from super-fast broadband. Upgrades are due to be completed by Autumn 2012. This will take the planned roll-out of super-fast fibre broadband to more than 157,000 homes and businesses in the county.
Mark Garnier, MP for Wyre Forest, welcomes the “excellent news” that Brinton’s Carpets has received a significant cash investment. The investment comes from The Carlyle Group, a global alternative asset manager, and has brought the carpet company out of administration.
Mark Garnier, MP for Wyre Forest, is delighted to send his congratulations to the students of Wyre Forest and Worcestershire for another year of improved AS and A Level results. Worcestershire County Council has reported, so far, 84.8 percent of students achieved three or more A* to E grades. This is an improvement on 2010's figures of 83.4 percent.
