Mark Garnier, MP for Wyre Forest, is pleased to support the launch of an inquiry by the All Party Parliamentary Group for the Financial Education of Young People. The UK wide enquiry, launched last week and entitled Financial Education and the Curriculum, will investigate the level of financial education in primary and secondary schools.

Mark Garnier, MP for Wyre Forest, reaffirms his opposition to the decision to grant planning permission for an incinerator at Hartlebury. The decision, made by the Worcestershire County Council on 1st March, paves the way for a 200,000-tonne energy from waste facility to be built near Hartlebury.

Mark Garnier, MP for Wyre Forest, took part in a Westminster Hall debate this week to discuss fairer funding for Education for Worcestershire. The debate, secured by Karen Lumley, MP for Redditch, spoke about the continued underfunding of the county's education. Worcestershire MPs have been calling for a change to the formula to increase per pupil funding for the county.
