Mark Garnier calls to protect Wyre Forest’s pensioners from Labour’s plans to scrap benefits

Mark Garnier, Wyre Forest's Conservative Parliamentary Spokesman, voiced his opposition to Gordon Brown's new plans to scrap disability benefits for the elderly. The small print of Labour's plans to create a National Care Service reveals they will scrap Attendance Allowance and Disability Living Allowance for pensioners to pay for it, and this will have a direct effect on Wyre Forest's pensioners.

Mark Garnier at Stourport Three Kings Festival

Mark and his family joined in the celebrations in Stourport for the Three Kings Festival, marching through the town for the annual launch of the town's Christmas festivities.  Hundreds of residents gathered to see the parade march through the streets, finishing at the Civic Centre where well wishers gathered for Christmas carols, prayers and the turning on of the lights.
