Mark Garnier visits scenes of vicious Middle East fighting

Mark Garnier, Conservative Parliamentary Spokesman for Wyre Forest today visited scenes of heavy fighting earlier this year. On a fact finding trip to Israel, Mark visited the northernmost border with Lebanon, seeing first hand areas affected by the controversial conflict fought between Israel and Hezbollah in the southern part of Lebanon.

More Post Office Branches under Threat of Closure - 1,000 Sub Post Masters March on Parliament

1,000 sub-postmasters marched on Parliament yesterday protesting at post office closures, whilst government ministers asserted that there are still "too many offices". Under the current Labour Government, a quarter of the post office network has already been slashed, with Wyre Forest no exception to the cull. More cuts are expected as a result of Labour's plans to abolish the Post Office Card Account in 2010.
