Heathrow is not the only solution

Mark has written to the editor of the Telegraph proposing a solution to Britain's airport capacity problem by turning Birmingham Airport into a UK hub airport. The letter was signed by 30 cross party, West Midlands MPs and MEPs, as well as council leaders, chambers of commerce and 39 West Midlands businesses.  

Mark champions lottery fund for rural communities

Mark has voiced his support for the Big Lottery Fund's Village SOS scheme.  The scheme makes grants of between £10,000 and £50,000 to rural communities who want to set up new social enterprises. Applications are welcomed from communities with populations of fewer than 3,000 people. No community is too small.  

Mark continues fuel price campaign

Yesterday, Mark stepped up the local fuel fairness campaign. Wyre Forest's MP met with Emma Reynolds, a representative from Tesco, to discuss the local petrol price anomalies- anomalies that mean that Tesco in Kidderminster are charging 4p per litre more than the Tesco's Cradley Heath branch just 13 miles up the road.

Hospital Campaign Moves Forward: Mark holds local meeting

Mark held a meeting yesterday evening to discuss the future of Kidderminster's hospital. The purpose of the meeting was to give local community leaders a chance to have a more detailed conversation with the Hospitals Trust.
